Different types of Skin & It's natural care
Taking good care of your skin is so important given the kind of pollution and dust it is exposed to. Aging factor and stress levels along with it makes it a priority. But did you know there are different types of skin and each require a distinct way of nurturing and maintenance? Now how to identify your skin type and how to take good care of it ? That is what I'm going to share with you today. Well I'm only going to be discussing natural ways of protecting your skin 'cause even though there are lots of products out there which you could go for once you know your skin type, the good quality ones are quite expensive and have side effects too . So it is highly recommended to choose natural ways of cherishing your skin. But those who are already using different products on their skin and are happy with the results, no worries you can still use these natural methods along with them and it will do no harm.
So here we go!!
There are five types of skin as follows
#1 DRY SKIN
Characteristics
Dry skin has moisture content lower than normal. You may feel tightness in your skin and even flaking can occur. The cheeks more than the other parts of the face can turn extremely dry and can lead to irritation.The pores can be visible.

Characteristics
Normal skin is a well balanced skin (neither too dry nor too oily) with an occasional oily T-zone ( the area of forehead, nose and chin ) or dry cheeks . The moisture content is well balanced and the pores are small and not easily visible.

1. Avocado Smoothie
- take one avocado
- make a puree of it
- add one tbsp olive oil
- add 1/2 tbsp honey
- apply it on your face for 15-20 minutes
- wash it off with lukewarm water
2. Coco Aloe massage
How to ?
- take 1 tbsp aloe vera extract
- add 2 tbsp virgin (organic) coconut oil to it
- whisk the mixture
- apply it on your face and massage gently for few minutes
- wash it with warm water ( might even use a tender face wash to remove excess oil)
#2 OILY SKIN
Characteristics
Oily skin is characterised by a great deal of moisture. It will shine a lot and might feel a little greasy every so often. It is extremely prone to acne breakouts. The pores can be visible especially on your T-zone ( forehead, nose and chin).

How to ?
- take one tomato
- 2 tbsp of cucumber paste ( peel a small cucumber and put it into a blender)
- 1 tbsp of honey
- mix it well and apply on your face
- rinse it off with water after 15-20 minutes
How to ?
- take 1 tbsp aloe vera extract
- add 2 tbsp whole grain flour
- add 1 tbsp lemon juice
- apply it on your face and let it dry
- once dried use your hands to remove it in flakes
- wash the remains with cold water
#3 NORMAL SKIN
Characteristics
Normal skin is a well balanced skin (neither too dry nor too oily) with an occasional oily T-zone ( the area of forehead, nose and chin ) or dry cheeks . The moisture content is well balanced and the pores are small and not easily visible.

1. Orange-yogurt fun
How to ?
- take 1 tbsp of plain yogurt
- 1/4 of an orange
- squeeze the juice of the orange and mix it with yogurt
- apply it on your face
- leave it for 15-25 minutes
- wash it off with lukewarm water
How to ?
- take 3 tbsp of green tea powder or green tea leaves( leave a green tea bag in water for 30 minutes. Take it out, let it dry and then cut it open)
- 2 tbsp mint leaves
- 1 tbsp honey (raw honey preferable)
- few drops of water or rose water (optional for consistency)
- mix it well and apply it on your skin
- let it dry ( 20-25 minutes) and wash it with cold water
How to ?
- 1 tbsp cacao powder (purest form of chocolate)
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
- stir well
- apply it on your face and leave for 20 minutes
- wash it with clean water
#4 COMBINATION SKIN
Characteristics
Combination skin refers to having a mashup (no not of songs) of two or more skin types. It can be immensely dry on certain portions of the skin ( probably cheeks ) and excessive oily on the other (probably T-zone). This is the most common skin type but hard to maintain and care.

1. Rose Glycerin glow
How to ?
- take 3 tbsp of rose water
- 3/4 tbsp of glycerin
- mix them well
- apply gently on your face using your fingertips
- don't have to wash it ( use it as a moisturizer)
- keep it for all day or night
tip- use a spray bottle and fill 3 parts by rose water and remaining by glycerin and spray it on your face every day after a face wash.
2. Raw honey & Organic oil magic
How to?
- take 1 tbsp of raw honey ( it's most natural form)
- apply it on your face ( probably when you get up in the morning)
- leave it for a few minutes
- rinse it with cold water
- apply jojoba oil (or any other organic one , for instance lavender, almond) as a moisturizer
#5 SENSITIVE SKIN

Characteristics
Sensitive skin can exhibit features of dry, oily or combination skin types but is highly prone to rashes, bumps and burns. It can turn all red and cause irritation on exposure to allergic substances or unusual environments. Overlapping of normal and sensitive skin is rare although not impossible.
tip- sensitive skin can possibly react to anything so I would recommend having a patch test before. Natural skincare methods
1. Sincerely, Banana & Oats
How to ?
- take 1 tbsp of banana puree
- 1 tbsp of oatmeal and 1/2 tbsp of honey
- mix it thoroughly
- apply it to the skin and leave for 15-20 minutes
- wash it off with clean water
How to ?
- take 1 egg yolk
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp rose water
- a few drops of lemon juice
- blend it all together
- apply it on your face and leave if for 15-20 minutes
- rinse it with water
tip- Change the quantities according to the consistency.
So that was all. I hope you found it useful. Also, since these are natural methods the results won't show at once but please be patient and follow them regularly, I'm sure they won't let you down.
